Friendster - Crime Buster

March 11th, 2006 by goddhezchai

You know what made me happier about Friendster? Here, let me share this with you.

While reading one of our newspapers here, I came accross this article. I can’t explain how I feel and I don’t know the best word to describe it so let me just say I am personally delighted.

To be honest, I am really a fan of Friendster. I am very sentimental and the site did have an effect on that side of me. Thus, I remained loyal. I will not elaborate anymore about the good things that I think Friendster brings for myself. What I’d like to show is how it is becoming more helpful to the country.

Filipinos have become more sociable, especially the youth. Though I haven’t encountered or thoroughly read any conducted study on such effect, I believe that it’s true by words of mouth. Imagine, those who didn’t actually have an "internet life" started to become addicted to it. Those who started with an anonymous photo or or cartoons are now "coming out from the closet." This too may have a bad effect for some but it’s actually better for the benefit of many. Why?

This led to the arrest of a murder suspect. Yes. It has become a tool for the nation. If you want to read that article, please click this link:

Friendster account leads to arrest of murder suspect

I do hope there’ll be more. Friendster’s medium is very effective and should be utilized efficiently. What other good things can we expect?

Happy Holidays!

December 28th, 2005 by goddhezchai

It’s been so long since I last posted an entry. I honestly haven’t forgotten I have a blog but I definitely didn’t have time to update. I have been too busy at work. I missed you all guys! I missed my online life. I just have a vacation leave so I had time for this. Hope you still haven’t forgotten me.

Anyway, let me greet you all Friendster friends of mine a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May you all have a blessed season. Good luck come the year of the Dog, 2006.

I don’t know what else to say though so let me just pose for you guys! Here’s how I look like in the office … Doll version. Hope you like ‘em … I mean me!  I love doll-making. And it pretty-much shows the real me when dressing up … dolling up! So, let me share it with you.

Chai_monday_1 ::: Monday Outfit :::

I am usually just on pants. I love my black pinstriped trousers! I can go with or without blazers but I look more elegant with them. Just having a neat-sheet underneath hehe. Like a black or other coloured camisole. I do not tie my hair and just let my highlighted locks flow. Looks best on my Terranova diamond thong sandals but, hehe, doesn’t show on my doll. I use a belt sometimes but not old-fashioned ones. Just something to cover up my waist line hehe. So this doll prett-much looks like me during "Corporate Mondays."

Chai_tuesday_1 ::: Tuesday Outfit :::

I normally go with anything that feels comfy. Since in my country, the "Boho-Chic" look is very in-fashion, I decided to go with the flow. Yes, Bohemian fashion looks cool. And earth colors still look great. I have a fair complexion so people say chocolate-brown looks good on me. I pair my top with a black A-line skirt which normally goes down to my knees. I have one with white lining at the end but I made this me-doll look more different by adding ruffles. And to give accent to my neck, I can go with native necklaces that match the Boho-Chic look. I also would just let my hair flow so my "Business Casual Tuesdays" still express the fashionista-me. Still on my high-heeled sandals lah!

Chai_wednesday_1 ::: Wednesday Outfit :::

On these days, I usually tie my hair already using pony tail. I am more relaxed. I go with my comfy Dickies jeaans or other pair of pants / jeans. I pair it with a black tank top. I can go with other darker colors though. I rarely wear light-coloured tops. My most recent fave is my black Lulu Castagnette racerback tank top. Looks great on the jeans! I have lots of black tops more than anything else. I love Wednesdays. It shows my figure, teehee! Chubby one lolz! Still on my thong stilleto looks great, right? There you go! My "Smart Casual Wednesdays!"

Chai_thursday_2 ::: Thursday Outfit :::

Towards the end of the week, I can go with anything already. Of course, still something that is classy and decent. Well, my legs aren’t perfect and not flawless but I can wear minis too. Just not super-mini like this doll lah but yeaz, mini-jeans skirt. Sleeveless / tank tops look cute on them, righty? And I just tie my hair up with a clamp. I don’t have curly hair though but I really put it up so high like this dollie. I usually go with heeled sandals … up to 2 inches or below but not with my shoes from Monday-Wednesday. I really cool down during "Relaxed Thursdays."

Chai_friday_1 ::: Friday Outfit :::

Ah … finally! It’s the end of the week. On "Washday Fridays," I just wear the in-fhasioned bermuda shorts or culottes. I have several pairs on jeans, stretch, or other flowing cotton material lah. Hehe. I can go on capri pants too. My blouse can be an off-shoulder one or any tank top too. Peasant blouses or those w/c is normally worn by pregrant women … you know that long blouse ruffled on the chest part and loosened up on the tummy part? Hehe. I can’t recall what it’s exactly called but I have those pieces too. I love ‘em on Fridays. Flip-flops or other slip-on sandals go perfect with my Friday outfit.

There you go! It’s my fashion week picks! Hehe. This is really how I go to the office and dress up. So now you know more about me hehe. Hope you guys enjoyed what I shared today. If you want to doll-up also, go ahead. I’m not a real fashion guru but I can give you tips.

If you’re wondering why I never mentioned about make-up, it’s because I really don’t put on make-up. I just use a cheek-tint and lip gloss from Avon but no blush on nor lipstick. I’m allergic to them hehe.

PS: Thanks to Josie for the dollmaker! I love her bases!

So, see yah all next time!

Have a blessed Yuletide season!

LRT Transpo-Wacko!

October 6th, 2005 by goddhezchai

It’s been long since I last posted anything. I know … w/o a blog, I’m dead to the world. Which is really half-true ‘coz I work at night. Everyone else is sleeping hehe.

Well, my main means of transportation to go to work are Philippines’ own tricycles, jeepneeys, and LRT or "light rail transportation." Right LRT Management is very apologetic about the poor service they are giving us. To a point this is understandable but not acceptable. I believe more people utilizing their trains will agree with me.

Anyway, aside from the fact that the trains I ride are always slow at night, they went slower because of the line rehabilitation going on. About 2/3 weeks ago, 1 of the "blocks" as I should say, serving as the tracks’ wall fell off. This was not the first time it happened. Imagine a heavy cement wall falling from above … it could’ve hit some one … a pedestrian to be exact. This is a sign that it’s no longer super safe to ride their used-to-be-fast-trains. There will be this fear that maybe one day, things that only happen in movies might come true … you know … a train falling down with its tracks. As far as I can remember, this is the "2nd accident" of the same kind.

I’m glad that LRT Management took immediate action. They had maintenance & other activities going on but this doesn’t add to any satisfaction of their customers, like me. Before, I used to wait about 5-10 minutes only before another train comes. But now, it takes me now 20 or even 30 minutes! Why? Because each train runs 20kph only on 4 coming stations. So this also slows down my travel time to work w/c really makes me feel bad. Lah!

And this isn’t the only cause of my ranting now. Last night, it was worse! Or even worst! At the station where I always board, a train was already waiting. I was so surprised and happy since I didn’t have to wait long for the next one. I was wrong though because as it reached the next station, it stopped for 5 mins. before running again. This was the same scenario in the next stations as well … and after about 2 stations, the stop was longer. Imagine 10 minutes! Whooaa! And it takes me 10-11 stations before I reach my destination! And I wasn’t the only one surprised. The other passengers were shocked too.

We all thought at first that this is because of their "line rehabilitation" program. The driver announces that "there is still a train at the next station" so we still cannot go. But as the stop went longer, the passengers started to become furious & curious what’s really taking long. We feel like the truth is not being told on why we’re stopping like forever on every station. An old man even fought with one of the guards to tell us the truth. One by one, passengers started to go down and just took an alternative vehicle to travel.

I was lucky enough to sit beside someone going home, working as an LRTA personnel. So I took the initiative to ask if he knows the cause. He said that there was a mini-fire accident 3 stations after my base station and this was the train in front the train where we’re boarded. It stopped there for long. They had to "pull-out all the wheels" and since it cannot run anymore, a longer train needed to push it slowly ’til the end station. This was what we’re waiting to go before we run & stop by the next station.

Whooaaa! When the other peeps heard him, they all started cursing & leaving the train … like I did. It’ll take us forever before we even reach our desired location. Imagine this … another accident?

*sigh* Luckily, I can flex my schedule. I wasn’t late. But how about the other people with me? I’m afraid they are not so lucky. But giving that as the reason why they became late (night shifters!) might not be acceptable. But who will give justice to this? LRTA Management? Heck no! They probably won’t even care.

I do hope that their program will be successful to better serve the people patronizing them. I wish they’ll be aware of such concerns like mine. Otherwise, we might just indeed look for alternatives to travel. After all, there’s no "traffic" at night.

Copycats!

June 12th, 2005 by goddhezchai

This world seems to be full of copycats! See, in Friendster, there are lots of fakers! Everywhere you’ll see photos of other peeps copied & posted on someone else’s profile lah! Celebrity photos here and there though they’re not the real celebrities!

As I was trying to check other pages around, I found this! http://kimonovivian.blog.friendster.com! And a famous post there is regarding Ayumi Hamasaki and Jolin Tsai! I honestly like both but I don’t really play favorites. I like Ayu as for my Jpop point of view & I like Jolin as for my Chi-pop POV! As per accusations, Jolin is copying Ayu! Can’t believe that? Well take a look!

Now, this appears to be a real copying huh?

Oh well, I cannot accuse who copied who. Maybe, their stylists have the same preferences! Or maybe, their managers are related to some degree. Think their publicists have something to do with it as well?Just by mere lookin’ at it, a lot seems to be the SAME! From their accessories, hair style & colors, wardrobe, poses, etc.! Sheesh! Maybe their endorsements are of the same company! Same products maybe so the advertisers made them wear the same thing! Their photographer maybe the same too! But think about it … from Jap to Taiwan? Lah!

Lah! I cannot think of anything else anymore! All of these are just my speculations! There’s room for possibility, righty? How about you? What do you think?

goddhez.NET

May 30th, 2005 by goddhezchai

I am planning to revive my domain. Yes. I don’t have much time now on the net as I used to have when I was in high school and college but still, I am certain! I want to revive my domain!

I’ve been planning to have this online lair ever since I started web designing. Yep. I do a lot of it when I was a little younger since I have more time to review my HTMLs, scripts, css, etc. I had lotsa time to do tricks in Photoshop, in Swish, in 3dmax, etc. I really enjoyed expressing myself online. It’s like my escape from the real world and I had the chance to learn a lot from people not limited to those in my country. Here, I am free and others have a chance to meet me too. I kinda missed that kind of life.

I had some problems before though. My writings are stolen lah. Not that I lost them in my site but some people claimed that they wrote those stuffs. These aren’t limited to movie reviews, poetry, etc. Not just that! Some graphics I made appeared in other webbies! Sheesh! Some people can’t understand originality! This was one of the reasons why my site has been on hiatus for long …

But I am still going to revive it! I want my own place here on the net! I want to communicate with the rest of the world with my own identity! I want to express myself again and not be ashamed of who and what I am! So guys, just wait … I am on the process of fixing it and make it available again.

If you dare, take a peek! I am planning to host some of my online friends’ sites too so … oh well … here … www.goddhez.net!

Lost & Found

May 19th, 2005 by goddhezchai

When you miss something and it’s very important to you, you’ll find all ways to find it and get it back. You won’t give up until it’s finally back in your hands.

Can you just think of losing your St. Bernard in the wild? How much did you save just to be able to have one? You took care of it and spent lotsa time to make it grow healthy and such a smart dog. You spent time, money, and effort to make it live. It became so precious that you treat "him" now as part of your family.

When you accidentally lost track of him, you’ll get assistance from the police to find it. You’ll post his photos on electric posts and elsewhere so others can identify him easily … hoping he’ll be back to you. You’ll even give rewards to whoever will be able to find him and make you "together again."

When he’s finally back, you’ll be so happy that you’ll find silly reasons why he was lost and all and blame everything else … everyone including you … and devise ways on how you’ll be able to keep in touch with him … w/o losing him! That you’ll be more careful promising everyone you’ll be more careful! *sigh*

Guys … I found my notebook! And I am so thankful to Friendster. Why? Because my notebook is so unique that it has a Friendster sticker in front of it. Our facilities department was able to find it easily and now it’s finally back in my hands. My happiness is just like a child’s like now. I can’t help myself but share it with y’all! I’ll take a photo of it and share it with you guys laterz! To think, at first it’s almost impossible to find it because it’s very much the same like other Veco Stenopads around (it’s an office supply there lah!) but mah sticker made the difference hehe!

Thanks to Friendster! Yay! Friendster really makes magic and I am just so grateful about it! *sigh* And of course, thanks to the patience of our Facilities Department who helped me find it! Okay … enough of the drama!

Missing …

May 15th, 2005 by goddhezchai

How does it feel if you value something so much that you think it’s gonna be the end of the world when you lose it? Bad right? Lah.

Imagine having P500 in your wallet. You earned it because of your hard work for the day. You plan on buying a good pizza for your family when you get home. You are so excited that you cannot think of which pizza parlor you’ll go to just to be able to just to be able to give ‘em the best tasting pizza they’ll ever have. So you rode a cab; looking at the busy streets of the city; sipping your Starbucks mocha frap; and then as soon as you reach your destination, you picked up your wallet and paid the driver and went off to choose your pizza. While at the counter and you’re about to pay and searching for your money, you noticed that your P500 bill is missing. Dumbfounded with humiliation, you canceled your order and walked away … looking lost … thinking where in the world did you lose it … Crap! In the cab!

* sigh * To others, that amount is just nothing. For me, it’s so precious. It’s hard to earn it lah. Well, I can just think that there’s another day to come and I can work hard again and earn it and that time, I’ll buy the pizza. But the idea of buying pizza for your family today is what’s more important yet you lost your money to buy it. * sigh *

Honestly, I didn’t lose a P500 bill to buy pizza for my family. Sorry you’re stirred with the sad story. It just so happened that I lost something that is important to me w/c is maybe as important as losing money to busy something special. You’ll probably laugh when I tell you … that I even associated this sad story to whatever is this stuff I lost. Do you really want to know what it is?

It’s my Steno Notebook. It’s a yellow green Veco Steno Pad I lost in the company where I am working right now. It contains memories. Yes. All my notes from my Local Initial Training as part of the AT&T campaign/project. You guys just don’t know but people who really know me would understand.

I love learning. I might be a slow-learner sometimes but when I learn, I’ll know how to do stuffs I am required to do. But I love to keep records of everything. I love to have something to refer to when necessary. I just feel so bad that it’s not even something useful for others yet it’s lost. It might even be trash for some yet it’s lost.

* sigh * I really miss my notebook. I really want to have it back. So please … whoever you are who has it or found it or threw it … help me get it back. Weird huh? Someone so desperate to have her old notebook back? But oh well, it’s hard to write down things you learned from training and have all the pages filled and then you’ll just lose it! Lotsa tiring work for my hand lah!

I miss my notebook so much … sheesh!

Posers, Fakers, and You!

May 7th, 2005 by goddhezchai

I have been around the net for quite a long time now. I maintained blogs, sites, etc. but I have been too busy with other stuffs like school & now … work. But one issue that is prevailing until now is … posers!

Friendster started out good. But as many users get addicted to it, some freaks start to pose as someone else here. They use other peeps’ photos & pretend to be the REAL ones. If you check out the profiles, sometimes, you will even be confused who says the truth. You will be fooled then by these kinds of peeps. And those who have been fooled … well … they intend to be friends with these fakers (not thinking they are fakers) & add up to their friends’ list … thinking this one’s hot and all but to find out later that they’re just insane people posing as someone else! Lah!

Friendster isn’t only the community site victimized by such people. Long ago, there have been many of these. One dominant site is Asian Avenue! I don’t have an account there but who knows? Someone might be posing as me and people will think I have one there! Sheesh! What a shame to those who hide their personality behind others!!!

I haven’t been in AA because mah friends ever since have warned me that lots of people there are fakers anyway so what’s the use? Then I said, though you might not have an account there and have one elsewhere (like Friendster and other BBs) and someone from elsewhere finds you who’s interested in being in AA might be you in AA! Gets? Lah! Don’t they have a "report user" function to terminate the posers’ accounts?

But well, think … if all community sites have that utility and everyone reports everyone else … who will the developers believe? Who’s the original? What they can think of is suspend both accounts until the REAL one can be proven to be the TRUE one lah! But the game never ends … it just busts their resources because posers will post as someone else again next time!

Sad but some people are really sick! Why can’t they just be proud of their real faces? Gah! Hope no one is using my photo elsewhere! I’m glad I have real friends here who can prove that I’m for real! So for the rest … beware!

Why Friendster?

May 3rd, 2005 by goddhezchai

Why do we really have Friendster accounts? I honestly didn’t like the idea of having one at first! Several college friends did push me a lot to join but I didn’t even give it a try before until one day … when I accidentally clicked a link from an invitation sent to me to establish an account. Oh great! Now I have 2 accounts!

It’s pretty addicting lah! You wouldn’t think there is such a use for this net turf. I perfectly thought this is just a time-killer but as time passed, I learned the value of having started this at all. Why? Several reasons from my nutshell are:

- I met friends way back pre-school and gradeschool

- Highschool friends who are already … far away got reunited (and I do miss them a lot!)

- I have a chat space or a net piece of paper for my messages to my college peeps

- new friends from different places, different personalities, etc. gather here

See the benefit of a Friendster account? Lah! I really never imagined I will really be thankful for this. It’s a medium where someone can express his/her own thoughts and share it to the world so that at least, someone reads during boredom hah! Means of communication! It’s where you can be yourself … and no one else … be you and no one else but you! If you ain’t got one Friendster yet, as a friend of mine would say … otherwise, you are dead to the world!

Chill! Cyworld0057
